GamesNET is an Internet Relay Chat network devoted to the Internet gaming community. Formed in 1996, it was the first network designed to cater directly to gamers. The network is for multi-player games played over the Internet, including MMORPGs (Massively Multi-play Online RolePlaying Games) such as EverQuest, and First Person Shooters (FPS) such as Team Fortress Classic and Counter-Strike.
In 2003, some of GamesNET's former administration conspired to hijack the GamesNET.net domain name. We continue to advocate against domain hijacking and reverse domain name hijacking.
